Robert Alai celebrates his late brother’s life

By NAIROBI NEWS TEAM

Popular blogger Robert Alai has set up a website to celebrate the life of his late brother Tom Alai. The website will also be used to raise funds to cater for the deceased’s funeral arrangements.

The late Tom Alai met his death under unclear circumstances a fortnight ago. Days after being reported missing, his body was discovered at the City Mortuary.

It is suspected that he was knocked down and killed by a vehicle while crossing the road on Waiyaki Way. The motorist responsible for the accident then offered to transport him to hospital for treatment but instead, dumped him or his body along the way.

Automated information on the portal secure.changa.co.ke/myweb/share/5464, indicates that Alai has so far realized some Sh67,000.

In a message posted on the website, the blogger briefly recounted the final moments of his departed brother.

“The family received news of Tom’s disappearance on Friday 27th November. One of the friends he saw off the previous evening was informed by strangers that the person he was with might have been a victim of a road accident. Tom was never taken to hospital by the driver as promised. Police recovered his body at the Gitaru exchange along the Southern by-pass at around 11pm after being informed by a member of the public. Let’s give Tom a sendoff. Your support will be appreciated.”
