French citizen arrested with fake currency in Kileleshwa


A French national is being held in police custody after being found in possession of fake documents in an apartment in Nairobi’s upmarket Kileleshwa neigbourhood.

The Frenchman was arrested on Tuesday night after neighbours called the police to contain disturbance from the said apartment.

Police identified him as a 55-year-old French national and found him out that he was using two names, Fredrick Seifried and Robert Holland.

FAKE DOCUMENTS

According to police report, a search was conducted in the Oyster apartments where fake $100 bills, eleven self-inking stamps, red seals for Kenyan title deeds, seals for United Nations, Kenya Revenue Authority documents and French passport without a Visa.

Police did not disclose the cause of the said disturbance because the Frenchman was the only one arrested in the incident.

The police are investigating how he got into the country and what he has be doing while residing in the country.

The suspect is being held at Kileleshwa Police Station and will be arraigned in court after police complete the investigations.
