Former NTV anchor Winnie Mukami lands plum state job


Former NTV anchor Winnie Mukami has landed a plum job at a state corporation as more journalists take up jobs in government.

Ms Mukami has been appointed to the board Kenya Pipeline Company for a period of three years.

Her appointment was announced on Thursday by Petroleum Secretary John Munyes.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 (1) (e) of the State Corporations Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Petroleum and Mining appoints Jinaro Kibet, Rita Achieng Okuthe, Winnie Mukami to be members of the Board of Kenya Pipeline Company, for a period of three years, with effect from the June 6, 2018,” Mr Munyes said in the gazette notice.

Ms Mukami appointment comes days after former Citizen TV anchor Kanze Dena was appointed as deputy State House spokesperson and deputy head of the Presidential Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU).
