Tusker Project Fame (TPF) season five winner Ruth Matete went on Twitter on Monday evening to apologise for the dress she wore on Sunday during the finale night of Tusker Project Fame 6.

The songstress, who leads the praise and worship choir at House of Grace Church, had worn a white dress that exposed  her thighs and sections of her back.

On her twitter handle @RuthMatete,  expressed apologies for the “inappropriate dress” and pleaded with her fans not to “give up on me”.

“I am very sorry for my in appropriate dress during the TPF final show. Please find it in your hearts to forgive me and not give up on me,” she tweeted.

Nominated Senator Naisula Lesuuda was among the first to applaud the apology, though some of Ms Matete fans wondered why she was issuing the apology.

“@RuthMatete Very courageous of you to apologize, a quality that lacks in many of us especially in the public eye. Carry on lady. Keep on,” said Senator Lesuuda.
