Forgive Jubilee for unmet expectations – Rachel Ruto – VIDEO

Deputy President William Ruto’s wife, Rachel Ruto, has pleaded with Kenyans to forgive the Jubilee Government in case it has failed to meet people’s expectation.

Mrs Ruto spoke when she attended a prayer rally in Nanyuki on Monday alongside a host of bishops from Evangelical churches.

“I know some people are blaming the Government for failing to act in time to prevent a number of problems currently facing the country including food shortage and drought related challenges. As a God’s servant and wife to Deputy President, I plead with you for forgiveness,” she said during the prayer rally.

Mrs Ruto said it is not easy to satisfy all 45 million Kenyans, but that the Jubilee administration had brought positive changes in the country preceding achievements of previous governments.

Mrs Ruto said she would be visiting the entire nation to preach peace during the campaign period.

“I will take a message of peace to all the counties. I will urge people to desist from inciting Kenyans during the campaigns so that we can have a peace before and after the General Election,” she told the gathering during her speech.

Mrs Ruto spoke at Central Park in Nanyuki Town during the first in a series of prayer rallies she has organised across the country.

The prayer rallies, dubbed Tuombeni Kenya, aimsat fostering peaceful co-existence during the campaigns and after the August General Election.

Monday’s prayer rally was organised jointly by Laikipia County Government and Laikipia Pastors Association.

It was attended by among others Governor Joshua Irungu , Laikipia East MP Mutahi Kimaru and Nairobi based Bishop Harrison Ng’ang’a of Christian Foundation Fellowship.
