Footballer Wanga gets a new ride, days after crashing his old toy

What do you do when you crash your Sh2 million car while on holiday with your family?

Buy a more expensive one a week later. That is if you are Harambee Stars striker Allan Wanga.

The Kenyan international has paraded his new car worth about Sh 2.5 million.

This is days after the footballer, his wife NTV reporter Brenda Wanga and their two children survived death narrowly after their car rolled over in Naivasha.

The couple was in the car together with another Harambee Stars striker Jacob Keli, his wife Remy and another friend.

Nairobi News exclusively caught up with the player with the new car at the Jomo Kenya International Airport moments before he travelled to Tanzania to complete a move to moneybags Azam FC.

He was in the company of his representative George Bwana.

“It was unfortunate the other car was a write-off, but then we thank God for his mercies because nobody was badly injured and he has blessed us with another ride,” Wanga said.

Wanga was set to join South African side Bidvest Wits last week, but the move was scampered over complications in securing a work permit.
