Flying Squad officers gun down four suspected gangsters in Parklands

Four suspected gangster were on Wednesday afternoon shot dead by Flying Squad officers along General Mathenge drive in Parklands, Nairobi following a botched robbery.

According to the new Flying Squad boss Musa Yego, who visited the crime scene, the suspects were targeting a construction site which was to receive some cash when his officers got a tip off and tracked and killed the suspects.

Police believe one of the slain suspects to be an Administration Police officer as they recovered two pairs of Administration Police uniform, three pistols, two berets, seven rounds of ammunition and a Toyota station wagon which they were driving.

The bullet riddled car had at least three different number plates.

Nairobi has seen an increased crime wave in recent weeks, the most brazen one being at Karen where a gang of seven attacked and tried to rob the owner of a house and his guests. One of the thugs was shot dead during the incident.
