Fines might just get us to use footbridges
Erecting barriers on our roads is not the best way to force people to use footbridges if the broken metal barriers on Landhies and Kenyatta roads are anything to go by.
It seems that Nairobians will always risk life and limb to cross roads where they feel it’s most convenient. Perhaps we need a more severe deterrent like hefty fines.
If a few of these risk takers could be hauled to city court, then others would think twice.
