Fashion Police in limbo as Kathy Griffin quits after seven episodes

Comedienne Kathy Griffin has become the second panellist to quit E!’s Fashion Police but the TV channel insists that the show will go on.

The show will be hosted by the two remaining co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski. Another co-host Kelly Osbourne recently left the series following controversy stemming from Giuliana Rancic’s comments about Zendaya’s hair during The Oscars on February 22.

The popular show is known for its hosts’ no-holds-barred analysis of celebrities’ couture hits and misses on the red carpet and other Hollywood events. Last month, Giuliana drew criticism after saying Zendaya hair smells like weed.

TIME TO MOVE ON

“We can confirm that Kathy Griffin is leaving E!’s Fashion Police,” the statement read. “We wish her all the best and are grateful for her time on the show, as well as the many laughs that she gave us all. Fashion Police will return, as scheduled, on Monday, March 30, at 9 p.m. with our talented co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski, and executive producer Melissa Rivers.”

It continued, “No further information is available at this time.”

Kathy confirmed her exit on Twitter in a lengthy letter. “After seven episodes of Fashion Police, I discovered that my style does not fit with the creative direction of the show and now it’s time to move on,” Kathy wrote.

The red-haired Griffin joined the show as replacement for the late Joan Rivers, who died last September from outpatient surgery complications.
