Expelled ODM MP now says Raila is ‘not to be trusted’

Expelled ODM nominated Member of Parliament Isaac Mwaura on Tuesday launched a scathing attack against his party leader Raila Odinga calling him a “kigeugeu.”

Mr Mwaura’s comments were made a day after he was  listed among 10 members expelled from ODM for rebelling against the party.

Others who were shown the door include Governor Salim Mvurya (Kwale), MPs Ababu Namwamba (Budalang’i), John Waluke (Sirisia), Steven Kariuki (Mathare) and Zainab Chidzuga (Kwale Women Representative) among others.

Mr Mwaura had in August posted a photo of himself with Mr Odinga after what he termed as a consultative meeting to notify his leader on leaving the party.

He reposted the same image on Tuesday captioning it; “Na huyu Raila kweli sio muungwana. I thought I respected him by going to him to tell him of political reality….I now understand why people use the term kigeugeu on him. He is not one you can easily trust.”

Mr Mwaura’s post in August had painted an image of a friendly handshake with the party leader even after expressing his interest to work with the Jubilee party as a Ruiru constituency aspirant.
