Expectant Nyamu says ‘nothing’ will stop her 2022 Senatorial bid

Karen Nyamu says her current pregnancy will not stand in her way of becoming Nairobi’s next Senator.

The politician cum socialite, in an interview with Mpasho, vowed she is ready to battle it out with her opponents in a bid to secure her seat in the Senate.

“Last time I vied for women Representative but I missed it narrowly but this time we are going to get it. I have been pregnant before and I worked till the last day, Campaign is just like work,” explained the soon-to-be mother of three.

“I will make sure Nairobians feel the impact of the services of the Nairobi government. So that we do not get short-changed.”

Nyamu unsuccessfully vied for the Nairobi Women Representative seat in the 2013 polls but lost to Rachel Shebesh in the Jubilee party nominations.

Shebesh would in turn lose to ODM’s Esther Passaris in the main election.

It’s since been an interesting year for Nyamu. Her personal life was thrust into the limelight after she revealed popular musician Samuel Muchoki aka Samidoh is her baby daddy.

Samidoh is officially married with two children and has since accepted the baby even though he termed the situation a ‘mistake’ and apologized to his fans. Nyamu has again announced she is expecting Samidoh’s baby.

She also accused him of beating her up when she was expectant and damaging her phone.

Johnson Sakaja is Nairobi’s current Senator but he has announced his intent to contest for the gubernatorial position.
