EXCLUSIVE: Family treats Spurs new boy Wanyama to surprise birthday bash


Newly-signed Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Victor Wanyama, was treated to a surprise birthday party on Saturday by his family members in Nairobi less than two day after completing the big money move in the English Premier League.

Sources privy to events told Nairobi News that drinks flowed freely at the party and the birthday cake was also decorated in Tottenham colours.

Family, friends gathered at a Nairobi hotel the moment the player jetted back in the country on Saturday from London where he completed a big money move from Southampton to Spurs on Thursday night.

Turning 25, a day after signing the five-year deal with EPL side, was a double reason for celebration for the Harambee Stars skipper and his family members.

Wanyama’s move to the London-based club has been estimated at Sh2 billion with his pay package also set to rise from Sh11 million gross monthly salary to Sh35 million.
