Popular comedian Charles Bukeko alias Papa Shirandula died Covid-19, the family has said.
Shirandula’s brother-in-law Ronald Wanyama said he experienced difficulties in breathing and was rushed to the Karen Hospital.
“It is sad that he didn’t make it out of the hospital alive. He had tested positive for Covid-19. We are devastated,” he said.
Sources at the Royal Media Services (RMS) officers have also confirmed to Nairobi News that more staff have tested positive after mass testing was conducted.
Citizen TV’s Steve Letoo on Friday confirmed that he has tested positive to the Covid-19 virus.
Papa Shirandula died on the day Kenya recorded its highest number of Covid-19 infections after 688 people tested positive for the disease in the last 24 hours.
