Drunk policeman arrested over suspicion of raping woman inside her house
A police officer suspected of raping a woman while drank is being detained at Lamu Police station.
The officer, who has been identified as Mr David King’ori, was arrested by fellow officers attached to the station after the victim locked him inside her house.
In a police statement seen by Nairobi News, the woman reported that the officer followed him from the police station to her house where he turned wild and raped her.
“After staying in the house for over 20 minutes, the said officer turned wild on her and ordered her to undress or else he would kill her. She cooperated unwillingly and the officer raped her,” read part of the statement.
“The officer was under the influence of alcohol and they have both been taken to King Fahad hospital for treatment,” the statement further read.
