DPP aids police in probing Fidel’s death and Huruma building

Six officers will guide and help the police in investigating Fidel Odinga’s death along with the collapse of the Huruma building.

The Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko on Tuesday directed that the six join police in investigating the matter.

He further directed that after the investigations the two files be submitted to him for perusal and appropriate directions.

The matters were captured in a letter addressed to the Criminal Investigation Department Director Ndegwa Muhoro.

POSTMORTEM RESULTS

Fidel Odinga, who was found dead on Sunday morning at his Karen home, will be buried in Bondo on Saturday as investigations into his death continue.

Postmortem results of his body are yet to be released even as his last activities indicated that he had a good time with friends at various city restaurants.

On the second matter under investigation, Mr Muhoro had on Monday ordered those involved in the construction of the Huruma building to record statements or risk being arrested.

The seven-storey building collapsed on Sunday evening killing three people and injuring dozens.
