DP Ruto sues activist Mwangi for linking him to Jacob Juma’s murder
Deputy President William Ruto has made good his threat and sued activist Boniface Mwangi for linking him to the murder of city businessman Jacob Juma.
Mr Mwangi had made claims last week via a tweet in which he also expressed fear for his life.
Aggrieved by the ‘libelous tweet’, Mr Ruto had demanded an apology and issued a notice to sue.
But Mr Mwangi, through his lawyer Gitobu Imanyara, said he will not retract, correct, withdraw or apologise for the said tweet.
The Deputy President, in his court papers on Friday, wants the court to compel Mr Mwangi to retract the offending tweet.
He also wants an order stopping the activist from further defaming him.
