Do you know these children? Help them get back home
Two girls aged five and 10 years respectively were found lost in Umoja estate on Monday and taken to Buruburu police station.
This five-year-old girl identifies herself as Vanessa and says she schools at Black Beauty Academy. Vanessa hails from Umoja estate.
Lucy Kaloki, who hails from Kitui, says she had come to visit her aunt who also lives in Umoja Estate.
The little girl went to play outside, but when dusk approached, she could not trace her way back to her Aunty’s house.
A good samaritan rescued her on Saturday evening, housed her and then took her to the Buruburu police station the following day.
The area children’s officer says they have walked around the Umoja neighborhood trying how to trace their respective families but in vain.
Buruburu OCPD Mr Kerich has urged the public to help them locate their relatives.
“If anyone knows them they can come to the Police station and pick them up,” he said.
Pictures of the two girls have been widely circulated on social media.
Embakasi West MP George Theuri was among those who posted one of the pictures on social media.
