Did Diamond dump Wema Sepetu for her inability to get pregnant?
Tanzania’s Wema Sepetu came out guns blazing at her critics over the clamour that she needs to get pregnant instead of admiring other women’s babies.
Wema, who was Miss Tanzania 2006 and singer Diamond’s ex-girlfriend, penned a long emotional Instagram post stating that she can’t get pregnant much as she wants to.
“Hata mimi natamani ningekuwa napiga picha niko na mwanangu… I want dat with all my life but I can’t…. Sitokaa nimkufuru Mungu wangu hata siku moja maana sijui ni kitu gani kaniandikia… But just don’t rub it in… It hurts… And am just a human being like each and every one of u.”
NAME CALLING
Wema’s reaction was fuelled by comments from her followers when she posted a photo of a friend and her new born baby.
Most of her followers called her names, urging her to give birth to her own child instead of admiring other people’s children.
“Ningekuwa na uwezo wa kuzaa ningekuwa nimezaa muda mrefu sana… But sina… Na siwezi kumkufuru mwenyezi mungu…. Au mngependa niwe nawaambia jinsi ninavyo hangaika usiku na mchana kupata mtoto wangu mwenyewe… Is dat wat u want…? kila ntakachofanya kwa ajili ya tumbo langu basi nitangaze… Au mnadhani siumii mnavyosema kuhusu maswala ya mtoto,” she wrote.
Wema has been a victim of cyber bullying since her days as a beauty pageant. The attacks got worse after she got into a relationship with bongo artist Diamond.
Her break up with Diamond last year and the entrance Uganda’s Zari as the new girl in Diamond’s life has generated a lot of speculations.
ZARI’S PREGNANCY
Zari’s pregnancy, announced just months after hooking up with Diamond, has left many wondering if that could be the reason why the bongo artiste left Wema.
Diamond has in a past interview with Tanzania’s Global Publishers revealed that one of his ex-girlfriends VJ Penny procured an abortion, adding that he was ready to be a father but his girlfriend felt that having a baby would cause friction between her and her parents.
Since Zari has three boys from her previous union, her relationship with Diamond and immediate pregnancy could offer him a chance to be a father that he has always wanted to be.
Speculations online are that the two got married secretly.
