Dennis Okari breaks his silence on marriage to Betty Kyallo
Investigative journalist Dennis Okari has finally broken his silence over his troubled marriage to KTN’s Betty Kyallo.
During a Friday radio interview on Radio Jambo, Mr Okari was asked why his wife reverted to her maiden name and if the split up was real.
The visibly hurt TV reporter stayed calm as radio host Massawe Japanni framed the uncomfortable question.
Mr Okari when tasked to address the online discussions said: “Hata mimi nasoma kwenye mtandao kama nyinyi tu.” (I’ve also been reading about it from the internet, just like you).
Mrs Japanni went on, “Kwa hivyo bado mko pamoja?” (So are you still together?)
Mr Okari nodded to the affirmative without uttering a word.
GLAMOROUS WEDDING
The TV reporter has been avoiding questions around his marriage following a highly publicized and blogged wedding on October 5, 2015 at the Marulla Manor in Karen.
The TV sweethearts held a sponsored event dotted with celebrities and politicians then proceeded to a honeymoon in Dubai, Mauritius and Seychelles.
Six months after the wedding, rumors about their break up started with the family of the TV girl confirming through their social media platforms.
Mr Okari has however been quiet about the matter even wearing his wedding ring for about six months after the rumors started.
