Death toll from road accidents hit 32 within just five days

At least 32 people have been killed in the country in three separate grisly road accidents in the last five days alone.
Coincidentally, all the three accidents have involved public transport vehicles and trucks.
On Friday, March 22, 12 people died after a 2NK matatu they were travelling in was hit by a truck at Kikopey in Gilgil on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.
In another road accident on Tuesday March 26, six people were reported dead in an incident that happened near Masimba market in Kajiado County, along the busy Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.
ANOTHER ACCIDENT
The Tuesday morning accident involved a matatu and a lorry, with most of the victims who perished being the passengers in the ill-fated matatu which was mangled into a shell on impact.
On Wednesday March 27, Kenyans woke up to yet another road accident involving a bus at Matuu in Machakos County which claimed the lives of 14 people.
The accident occurred when the bus, which was heading to Nairobi from Mandera, rammed into a stationary truck.
According to survey statistics results by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) as of March 14, 2019, 395 Kenyans have lost their lives on road accidents.
