Deal with Bahati matatu crews now

Someone visiting Bahati would be forgiven for thinking that the area operates by a different set of traffic rules.

Matatus plying the area have reverted to overloading that was common in the 90s and that only stopped after the introduction of the Michuki rules.

Nowadays almost every seat in the matatus carries an extra passenger.

They even stand on the aisles, packed like potato sacks on transit to the market.

It appears police officers have turned a blind eye to this practice as they pass them unbothered as though it is the most natural thing in the world.

Someone should stem this practice before it spreads to other routes.
