Day Raila confused another woman for Kalonzo’s wife – VIDEO
Cord principal Raila Odinga confused a female delegate for Kalonzo Musyoka’s wife, Pauline, while giving a speech at Kasarani during the Wiper Democratic Party delegates conference.
Mr Odinga, in remarks that have gone viral on social media, had shared his appreciation for the great work done by Mr Musyoka and his ‘wife’.
The remarks were directed at a female delegate who was seated next to the former Vice President.
Jeers from the crowd made Mr Raila to briefly interrupt his address before he quickly corrected himself and apologised.
“Mheshimiwa Kalonzo Musyoka na bibi yake naona yule pale, amefanya kazi mzuri zaidi, pongezi sana mama kwa yale ambayo umefanya,” said Mr Odinga.
He was quick to correct himself adding; “Pole sana huyo sio mama ah pole…pole. Nilikuwa nasema Mama Pauline amefanya kazi mzuri, kusimama na sisi na mimi haswa…”
The error dampened the opposition leader’s mood as he lowered his tone and wore an apologetic facial expression.
