David Ndii speaks out on arrest claims after explosive TV interview
Economist David Ndii has dismissed claims circulating online that he has been arrested over remarks he made in a Tuesday night interview on NTV.
Dr Ndii, the head of strategy in the Nasa coalition, had told TV anchor Larry Madowo that the opposition will call for mass action should the Supreme Court upheld the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The remarks elicited mixed reactions on social media, with claims circulating that he was arrested immediately after the interview.
Nairobi News contacted Dr Ndii on phone on Wednesday and he confirmed that he has not been arrested.
“As far as I know I have not been arrested I am just going about my business,” said David Ndii.
