Coach Abdalla set for KCB return

By DAVID KWALIMWA December 11th, 2014 1 min read

Former AFC Leopards assistant coach Abdalla Juma is eying a return to KCB. The seasoned coach, who was fired by Leopards last week after an eight-month spell, is reportedly in negotiations with his former employers.

“KCB and Abdalla come a long way. A return is in the works and that should not come as a surprise. What can only be discussed is the modalities and job description,” a source privy to the negotiations told Nairobi News.

Abdalla meanwhile opted to play the diplomatic card insisting that he “is considering a number of offers at the moment and anything can happen in the next few days.”

COACH OF THE YEAR

Abdalla, who led the Bankers to a fourth-place finish and was voted coach of the year during  the Footballer of the Year Awards in 2013,  is said to be willing ” to work alongside” current club trainer Rishadi Shedu next season.

Abdalla, who has also managed former top flight club Congo United in the past, is also said to be on the radar of another club that he has previously managed – Thika United – whose coach John Kamau has moved to newly promoted Posta Rangers.
