City tycoon disarmed after storming neighbour’s house

Gigiri Police on Wednesday evening disarmed businessman Raj Devani after he became violent at his residence in Westlands.

The businessman, armed with two pistols, went to his neighbour’s house at around 4pm and ignited a fight.

Guards at the premises alerted the police who rushed to the scene and found him armed with the pistols.

According to an officer who visited the scene, Mr Devani appeared intoxicated.

NOT ARRESTED

He was however not arrested.

“He moved from his house on the seventh floor and went to another tenant’s house on the sixth floor to cause chaos,” said one of the neighbours.

Early this year, Mr Devani was charged with five counts of terrorising and intimidating members of the public while armed with a Berretta pistol.

He was also charged with maliciously damaging a glass door worth Sh200, 000 at the Shimmers Plaza in Westlands in January.
