Citizen TV denies selling furniture to Siaya county

Citizen TV has publicly disowned a report suggesting the media company partly deals with the sale of furniture.

This follows a statement in the Auditor General’s reports suggesting the giant media house received millions of shillings from Siaya County during the last financial year as payments for “supply of furniture”.

“We wish to clarify to the public that contrary to the Auditor General’s report, Royal Media Services received payments from the County Government of Siaya meant for media services,” the TV station’s presenter Ann Kiguta announced during prime time news on Thursday evening.

Kiguta also added that: “Citizen TV does not deal with furniture business and it is our hope that both the Auditor General and the County Government of Siaya will clarify this issue.”
