Victoria Kimani labels police officers in US shooting ‘racists’

Kenyan artiste, Victoria Kimani, has spoken out condemning the killing of two black men in USA, who were shot dead by police officers.

Victoria, who is an American-born Kenyan, added her voice to the growing outrage on social media following the two separate incidents.

“These evil racist crooked cops will all get off for cold blooded murder caught on tape… Seen by the world ….with no jail time…. (then auction off the gun later) Feels like the old William Lynch syndrome,” the singer wrote in an Instagram post with a portrait of a white man’s hand pointing a pistol to the back of a black child.

Just a day after a video of the police in Baton Rouge shooting and killing Alton Sterling outside a convenience store went viral on social media, another police officer shoot and killed Philando Castile, a 31-year-old black man, during a traffic stop in Falcon Heights, Minnesota.

In the aftermath of the shooting, a woman who said she was Castile’s girlfriend started broadcasting to Facebook Live and the graphic video quickly spread around the internet.

Kenyans on Twitter also aired their views on the matter through the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter.
