Did Sonko talk to daughter Saumu to dump father of her twins?
The first born daughter of Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has dumped the father of her unborn twins.
Saumu Mbuvi confirmed her break up with Ben Gatu on her Instagram account and says she has moved back to her parents’ posh house in Runda.
The heavily pregnant Saumu opened on the break up on Wednesday and revealed that her former boyfriend was using her for political gains.
“Respect yourself enough to walk away from anything that no longer serves u, grows you or makes you happy,” read her post.
“I’m tired of waking up every morning getting different stories about me on this cheap blogs. Just to clear the air I was never married in the first place. I’m just a woman who realized my worth before it was too late .yes we broke up. I’m just too young to go through such bullsh*t of a man moving from one politician’s daughter to another for his selfish benefits.”
Mr Gatu is vying for the Mathioya parliamentary seat on a Jubilee Party ticket.
The break up appears to confirm Mike Sonko’s lingering doubts on the intentions of Mr Gatu.
Media reports claimed that Senator Sonko was infuriated by how media outlets were giving publicity to a man he described as “someone who wants to joyride on the Sonko name to gain political mileage”.
Sonko was quoted to have told fellow politicians not to be fooled by men who pretend they want to settle with their daughters.
On Saturday, Saumu held a second baby shower that her former boyfriend did not attend.
