Socialite Amber Ray quits Islam after ending romance with married man
Kenyan socialite Faith Makau aka Amber Ray has ended her romantic relationship with Zaheer Merlahi Jhanda.
Jhanda is married to another woman and Amber passed herself off as his second wife.
The curvaceous socialite, who drives top of the range vehicles and lives life on the fast lane with trendy outfits and glamorous house interiors, had even converted to Islam to conform to Jhanda’s beliefs.
Amber announced the end of the relationship on Wednesday on her Instagram. She said was no longer a Muslim.
“It’s about time I share with you this very important move in my life , which will also set some of you free because you have been waiting for this day for way too long and I do not want to continue holding you hostage. Feel free to keep the screenshots , keep em’ receipts for future use,” she said.
“I would like to inform you that I am no longer married to Zaheer Merlahi Jhanda and no one should link me to him or his family in whatever way . It has been great couple of years despite the challenges that I have come across.”
The socialite apologized to her son and family for dragging them through mud as the other woman.
“I apologize to my son and my family for all the insults they have had to bear in the past because of my decisions. Let there be peace because I have my own life to live , dreams to chase and goals to fulfill. This also goes to say that I am no longer a Muslim. #theend #amberthebrand,” she said.
In July, Amber, during a question and answer session with her fans on Instagram, delved into life as the other woman, telling a fan: “It’s not easy.”
A curious fan wondered whether she was friends with Zaheer’s first wife.
She said: “Sharing is not easy and for that we can never be friends.”
