Red-carpet affair at the third Riverwood Awards gala


The third Riverwood Awards ceremony took place on Saturday at the Kenya National Museum.

The who is who in the Kenyan film industry attended the red carpet event that saw new names emerge winners in the different categories.

The Riverwood Awards were launched in 2014 and are organised by the Riverwood Ensemble.

John Karanja, a board member of Riverwood Ensemble, told Nairobi News that plans  are underway to host the awards in other counties.

The Ensemble consists of over 200 film producers from all over Kenya.

The awards are organised to celebrate low budget films, as well as local film and television content producers.
