According to the father of the Hello Baby hit maker, the singer was discharged from the University Hospital of Dusseldorf on Saturday.

Speaking to the media, the singer’s father, Faraji Nyembo, thanked fans for their prayers while revealing that the singer is now in Mombasa courtesy of Governor Hassan Joho.

“Mwanangu sasa anaendelea vizuri kwani upasuaji aliofanyiwa umempa nafuu na hivi ninavyoongea na wewe ameruhusiwa kutoka hospitali nchini Ujerumani na yupo Kenya anakofanyia kliniki yake akisimamiwa na meya wa Mombasa ambaye ndiye anayempatia msaada wa matibabu,” he said.

THROAT SURGERY

Mr Nyembo further revealed that the singer underwent another throat surgery while in Germany this is after he had a similar one in June at Sandton, South Africa in a 12 hour procedure which involved opening up his throat.

After the surgery, Ommy remained in comma for nine days before gaining consciousness.

He then relocated to Mombasa to continue with his rehabilitation but last week his condition deteriorated after the surgery wound became septic.

HOSPITAL BILLS

Its was then that he was flown to Germany where he had another surgery and has since return to Mombasa under the care of Governor Joho who has been footing his hospital bills.

The surgery in Germany was to clean up the puss that had been forming on the throat wound.

Ommy, who is signed to Alikiba’s RockStar4000 record label, is expected to undergo another surgery in Germany.

The singer tribulations started April this year during Alikiba’s wedding when he first noticed he had trouble swallowing food.

In a past interview, Ommy disclosed that his South African doctors informed him his illness was as a result of food poisoning.
