Octopizzo graduates from University of Pennsylvania

Kenyan rapper Octopizzo – real name Henry Ohanga – is now a graduate thanks to the University of Pennsylvania and the Centre for Social Impact Strategy.

The musician completed his eight months online executive program in social impact strategy and attended a graduation at the university on Wednesday.

Octopizzo shared photos of the ceremony alongside other professionals who were receiving a certificate of completion.

Thanks to @uofpenn for the Knowledge, happy to be a graduate in 2018 something that I already gave up on! After high school but education has no age limit. The course is offered to professionals working in non-profits, for-profits, government agencies, and community organizations.

On completion the students usually have 40 per cent of the credits required to pursue a master’s degree in Nonprofit Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania.

SCHOLARSHIP

Octopizzo intends to pursue his master’s degree and in his celebration post urged his fans to share any scholarship opportunities they come across.

He was among other Kenyans; Anne Maria Makhulo, Caroline Kiarie-Kimondo and John Eyagi Shivisi who graduated in the 2018 class.

Octopizzo wrote that he thought his education was over after high school and never dreamt of joining a university out of the country but is now determined to pursue a masters.
