Octopizzo exposed as a cheat by American R&B star

Kenyan rapper Octopizzo has been exposed as a liar for claiming that he recorded his new hit song This Could Be Us with American R&B star August Alsina.

Alsina disowned the alleged collabo on Twitter on Thursday.

“FROM MANAGEMENT: “The song “Could Be Us” by @OCTOPIZZO does not feature @AugustAlsina”. – Mgmt (sic),” tweeted the I Luv This Sh*t hit maker to his more than 800,000 followers.

An audio version of Octopizzo’s new song was recently “leaked” to local blogs. The song, which trended on Twitter the whole day immediately after it was leaked, is actually stolen from Lord Eazy – Round Me (Feat. Fedarro).

Alsina, who is currently riding high with his newly released song Why I Do It featuring his compatriot rapper Lil Wayne, did not provide further information.

Alsina’s denial comes on the day Octopizzo revealed how he “earned” the collabo. “I have not met August Alsina yet. My people send him my music and he loved it (sic). He then recorded the chorus and sent it to me,”Octopizzo told The Nairobian.

Octopizzo famed for Ivo Ivo Ivo and Namba Nane Beiby was immediately trolled by Kenyans on Twitter while some Americans had never heard of Octopizzo.

Twitter user TeenAce Cheddar (‏@CheddarTeenAce): “@augustalsina @octopizzo hahaha kenya in beijing smashing track medals. again kenyan rappers splashing suprise hits worldwide rush,” while marlene vasconcelos ‏(@marlenepitanga) said, “@AugustAlsina @OCTOPIZZO and the music video, was lacking of concept, no autenticity, was like a poor copy of ‘Loyal’ (sic).”
