Kenyans songstress Nyota Ndogo has thanked President Uhuru Kenyatta for compensating her three-bedroom house that was demolished by government.

Nyota Ndogo’s bungalow in Voi was among several properties demolished in 2014 to pave way for the construction of the Standard Gauge Railway.

The government has since compensated the land owners and the singer used the money to put up another new three-bedroom house.

Upon completion of the house recently, Nyota took to her social media to thank the president.

She revealed about the sleepless nights soon after her house was demolished as doubts lingered on whether she will be compensated.
