Viewers of ‘The Trend’ show on NTV are in for a major treat this evening as the show unveils its new look.
The show will now have six new segments in efforts to make it have an impact on topical issues and not just to be an entertainment show.
“We want the show to be more of an edutainment and have a good impact to the viewer,” NTV head of television Justus Tharao explained.
One of the new segments is a hero’s corner that will be an interview with a guest who has had an impact to the world.
Others are street karaoke, meme, jam of the week, third world problems, interviews and games.
When Amina Abdi Rabar was unveiled last year as the show’s new host, Mr Tharao said NTV wanted her to feel welcome and that the show will see a few new fresh looks with new segments which will be introduced.
Asked why they settled on her he said; “Amina presents a new fresh air of breath in the entertainment and she has a 360 degree understanding of the entertainment industry. She is the new face of entertainment, from TV, radio to emcing and that is what NTV was looking for.”
