From challenge to duet; here is Nameless and Atemi’s ‘Romantic’ affair – VIDEO
What started as a challenge from Afro-soul star Atemi Oyungu to Nameless for a duet has finally come to fruition in the form of a brand new melodious song entitled Romantic.
Atemi says what informed her challenge to Nameless to co-write the song was to bring out the romantic side of Kenyan men.
“I wanted everyone in Africa when they listen to the words of the song to be able to say they can relate to it,” Atemi said.
She says they did the song in English because they wanted everyone in Africa to listen and enjoy it.
LOVE SONG
Nameless, on his part, says that he accepted the challenge because it is a topic that everyone speaks about and it is what men and women feel.
Romantic is a fun, uplifting and catchy love song which tells the story of African romance.
The singers partnered with Leleshwa Wines in a tour dubbed ‘Inspired by Kenya’ to celebrate Kenya as a beautiful and magical country.
The track was arranged and produced by Ihaji and mixed and mastered by Denis Ihaji and Robert Kamanzi (R- Kay).
The visuals were directed and beautifully captured by the award-winning Nigerian video director, Clarence Peters.
