Huddah, Vera, Corazon’s transformation leaves fans confused

Kenya’s three most famous socialites have undergone a transformation of sorts in the recent past.

Huddah Monroe, Vera Sidika and Corazon Kwamboka appear to have abandoned the path that brought them fame: nudity, controversy and suspicious trips abroad.

Instead, the three appear to have consolidated their income and started profitable ventures.

Vera now owns a slimming tea brand and recently a beauty salon, Huddah runs a popular cosmetics brand while Corazon owns a clothing line where she sells outfits online.

That is not all. Both Vera and Corazon have fixed their love lives while Huddah has remained noncommittal.

While Vera has been openly dating Kenyan musician Otile Brown, Corazon is in love with an Italian man whose name remains a secret even though she shares his pictures on her social media.

In Vera’s case, her trips abroad have virtually disappeared and at one point, she wrote about not having left Kenya for a whole six months. She promotes her slimming tea business on her social media accounts with branches as far as Nigeria, Tanzania and Uganda.

ESCAPADES

And last Sunday, she opened a posh beauty parlour in Nairobi’s Westlands area. Her metamophorsis has also seen suggestive photos and videos disappear from her timeline. She has pruned the extreme ones and now prefers to stream live her escapades with new bae Otile on Instagram.

In Huddah’s case, he cosmetics business – Huddah Cosmetics – has picked and her products are some of the most sought after by Kenyan women.

In fact, she ran out of lipsticks a few days after launch, which is now a frequent occurrence.

Earlier in the year, Huddah deleted all her pictures on Instagram and started all over. She has not explained her decision.

It’s no different for Corazon who now spends most her times marketing her clothing line on her Instagram page.

Corazon also often posts pictures with her Italian boyfriend although she still posts suggestive photos and videos.

For their change, the socialites have attracted both hate and love in equal measure.
