Papa Dennis refutes love triangle claims
Gospel sensation Papa Dennis has dismissed claims of being embroiled in a love triangle following media speculations that he has a new Caucasian girlfriend.
And to back his claim is a Kenyan university student who is insisting she is the musician’s only girlfriend.
Martha Wajero, a Mass Communication student at Daystar University, told Nairobi News that she has been dating the gospel musician for last seven months.
Papa Dennis, real name Dennis Mwangi, has twice been voted Best Gospel Male Singer of the year.
Last week, he posted pictures on his Facebook page looking all smiles with a young Caucasian girl in Dubai, prompting some of his fans to wonder if he has found a new love.
GIRL IN DUBAI
But in an interview with Nairobi News, Martha said she wanted to set the record straight on the Dubai pictures.
“We have been dating since April,” she said emphatically.
“The pictures circulating on social media are of models who featured in the latest music video that Dennis was shooting in Dubai,” she explained.
“I talked to Dennis the day he got back from Dubai and he assured me that all is well and we later took pictures together,” she added.
She even shared photos of the two of them being cosy with each other after the musician had returned from the Dubai trip.
When reached by Nairobi News for comment, Dennis confirmed that Martha is her only girlfriend.
STRICT ORDERS
“Yes, I have been going out with Martha and even my managers know about her. But I have been given strict orders not to reveal it to the public… about my relationship with her.”
He promised to let the his managers talk to us, but they never got back to us for comment.
Papa Dennis has been promoting his latest song, Ekhuweshina. He is scheduled to shoot a video of the song at the Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology in Kakamega this weekend.
