Former street boy who got internet fascinated with ‘Mwema’ rendition can dance too – VIDEO


Former street boy Tredy Brady who rose to fame after a video of his rendition of Mercy Masika’s ‘Mwema‘ song went viral online has resurfaced.

Tredy secured a scholarship at a city private school after warming the hearts of netizens with the video and is now on holiday.

He schools at Sankofa Academy in Syo Kimau and lives his guardian Daizy Kayetch.

The young boy resurfaced on Facebook on Sunday where he shared a video showcasing his dancing skills. He also announced that he will be recording music in studio over the coming weeks.

He captioned the one minute 44 second clip; “So I can dance? Awesome! Sasa nataka side hustle ya dancer. Meanwhile I will be in studio these coming weeks….mniombee asayi.”

Few days after closing school, Tredy travelled to his rural home in Kisumu and shared photos of his extended family.

Tredy has also been training with the famous Red Fourth Academy of Music under the guidance of musician Philip Tuju who has in the past produced cover songs for hits like Sauti Sol’s ‘Kuliko Jana’ featuring the Red Fourth Upperhill Boys Choir.
