Diamond Platnumz ‘building a home’ in Nairobi ahead of wedding

Bongo flava star Diamond Platnumz has revealed that he has commenced plans of owning a house in Nairobi.

The musician however downplayed reports that he intends to relocate to Kenya due to constant frustrations by Tanzania music regulatory board Basata over graphic content in his music.

Diamond explained that his intention to have a home in Nairobi is because of his upcoming wedding to Kenyan model Tanasha Donna.

“As I always say, Kenya is my second home. Niko na ardhi hapa pia na sasa hivi naanza kujenga, nitawaambia ni kampuni ipi itakuwa ikijenga nyumba yangu. Nitakuwa nakuja naishi huku pia kwa sababu nakaribia kuoa Kenya vile vile,” Diamond revealed in an interview.

He that he is also interested in launching Wasafi Kenya record label to rival the one he runs back home in Tanzania.

“Of course hapa pia tuna plan ya kufungua WCB Wasafi hapa pia. So itakuwepo nyumbani na hapa itakuwepo” he added.

Nairobi News understands that Kenya has become one of Wasafi’s best market in recent years in terms of getting well-paying gigs and attracting corporate sponsors for its artistes.

It a business reality that the Wasafi president takes seriously as he makes plans to invests in Kenya.

Diamond, who last month publicly announced he is dating the NRG radio host Tanasha, is set to perform on Monday on the last leg of his Wasafi Festival Tour at Uhuru Gardens.
