Bahati throws shade at Dogo Aslay for flopped ‘Bora Nife’ collabo

Kenyan gospel artiste Bahati has hit out at Tanzanian star Dogo Aslay for the failure of their collabo Bora Nife.

The two musicians released the track in April this year and despite the song already amassing over a million views, the track has fallen short of expectation.

Bahati has revealed that this has been as a result of disagreements on the terms of how to share revenue generated from the song, putting all the blame on Aslay and his team.

Bahati is also accusing Aslay and his management of being too full of themselves and being unprofessional in their handling of the project.

Bahati, who recently was in Tanzania for a video shoot with another Tanzanian musician Marombosso, insists that the egos of Slay and his team has derailed the project.

As a result, he says, he opted to let it go without bothering to push it in the Kenyan media space as should have been the case.

“When two artistes work together, they should be humble so as to push the song but when one of us decides to act like a star it stops many things. It was a song I loved and wanted to take it to another level. But Aslay’s management was uncooperative in terms of revenue shares, how the song would be sold online etc,” Bahati has said.

Bahati has gone on to state that to date they still haven’t reached an agreement with Aslay’s management and so the song’s potential revenue basically has gone with the wind.

His explanation comes just weeks after fellow gospel musician Willy Paul accused Harmonise of Wasafi Classic of doing so little in pushing their collabo Pilipili.
