Artistes not paid in Machakos New Year event
Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua is furious at the organiser of Macha New Year’s Eve party.
According to his official Twitter account, the governor said that some of the artistes who performed at the event held at the Machakos People’s Park were not paid.
“I am very unhappy with Carlos, the Macha concert event organiser and promoter. He has not paid artistes and owes my county close to Sh1 million,” the tweet said.
It is not clear, however, which artistes had not been paid.
Among the artistes who had been lined up to perform include Bahati, L Jay Masai, Benachi, among others.
