British singer Adele separates from husband Simon Konecki
British pop singer Adele has parted ways with her husband, Simon Konecki, her representative said on Saturday.
The 30-year-old singer and entrepreneur-philanthropist Konecki, 45, were first spotted together as a couple in January 2012.
They welcomed their son, Angelo, on October 19, 2012 and later got married 2016.
“Adele and her partner have separated. They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment,” a spokesman for Adele said in a statement.
Even though the two are said to have made the decision to go their separate ways, Konecki could get half her £145 million fortune.
Adele shot to fame in 2008 with her debut album 19 and in 2015 her last album, 25 broke US and British records by becoming the fastest-selling album of all time.
She became the first person in the history of the Grammy awards to win the top three awards twice.
