Flamboyant pastor fights to save EA biggest church
Flamboyant Nigerian pastor Dr David Oyedepo is fighting to save his massive church in Nairobi from being flattened after it emerged the facility may have been built on grabbed government land.
Standing on a 15-acre piece of prime land in South B estate, the 18,000 capacity Winners Chapel that took almost nine years to complete is regarded as one of the biggest and most magnificent churches in East and Central Africa.
Necessary approvals
A senior pastor at the Church, who requested anonymity since he did not have permission to speak to the media, maintained that Winners Chapel had obtained all the necessary approvals before construction started.
