Chameleone could pocket Sh 40 million in concert

Uganda’s dancehall star Jose Chameleone could easily make a whooping Sh40 million from gate collection only from his concert tonight.

The concert will be held at the Victorial Hall of Serena Hotel, Kampala. According to contacts inside the hotel, the hall, with a dinner setting, can easily handle 1,000 people, where 300 will be seated downstairs while the rest upstairs.

In a concert setting,  the hall can handle up to  2000 people. Assuming the first 1000 people pay the Ush 1 million Chameleone is charging for his ‘One Man, One Million’, it is easy for him to collect Ush1 billion (about Sh33 million).

If about 500 people pay the half price of USh500,000, then he could make about USh250 million (about Sh8million) from that.

We are just assuming that he won’t have the full capacity of 2,000 people the hall can handle. However, all this money is for a good cause, since he will use it to provide water to the people of Uganda’s Karamoja area.
