Businessman Brian Yongo evicted from Kitusuru home for the third time

Controversial businessman Brian Yongo was Thursday evicted from his multi-million Kitusuru home for the third time.

A source who witnessed Thursday’s eviction, and who requested anonymity, said Mr Yongo was evicted from the house after he failed to pay rent arrears.

A month ago, auctioneers had arrived at the palatial home and carried away all the household items belonging to Mr Yongo.

However, Mr Yongo managed to salvage his goods after Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko sent his Sonko Rescue Team, who with the help of policemen, prevailed on the auctioneers to return the items.

TWO GUNS FOUND

“Last time, Senator Sonko helped him. Today Sonko is not around and we have to take away everything. Last time two guns were found in the house and yet he is not licensed (to own a firearm) ,” the source said.

During the eviction, two truckloads of goods were carried away by the auctioneers.

Mr Yongo claims to have a court order that ordered for a status quo pending hearing and determination of the case. The case will come up for mention on August 4, 2015.

The owners of the house claim that Mr Yongo has allegedly refused to vacate the rented house, which he had offered to purchase at Sh45 million.

The house is jointly owned by Ms Jigisha Pankat Jani and Mr Sailesh Jani.
