Citizen TV business reporter Anne Mumbi Warui has left the station to take up a State House job.

Mumbi, who has been a journalist since 2014, joins the revamped Presidential Delivery Unit (PDU) which has been tasked with consolidating President Kenyatta’s legacy.

The president’s second term ends in 2022.

PDU is headed by Nzioka Waita who doubles up as the chief of staff at State House.

Mumbi, who left Citizen TV early this month, joins former NTV business reporter Laban Cliff Onserio who also quit job at the end of August.

PDU, which was established in 2015, is passed off as a centre of government function based in the Office The President.

Its primary remit is to improve the coordination of National Government flagship programs, monitor, evaluate and report on and the timely fulfillment of President Kenyatta’s key development priorities, according to a note on the State House website.

Andrew Wakahiu is PDU’s secretary with sector delivery directors listed as Lee Kyonze, Eliud Lelerai, Nyamu Githaka and Cindy Kuria.
