Kidero and Sonko fight over billions
Senator Sonko and the Nairobi Governor have reopened their war of words — and gone head to head over a new funding plan.
Now Governor Kidero is likely to be summoned by the senate to explain himself.
The war began over parking fees with Sonko siding with matatu and taxi owners who have been fighting fees increased by more than 200 per cent.
And it has been further fuelled by fighting over traffic marshalls — who Sonko wants withdrawn — and a new plan to give each of the county’s 85 wards around Sh15 million each for development.
Sonko, Sen. Mike Mbuvi, likes the idea and accuses Dr Kidero of trying to sabotage it.
