Baringo Expo Summit to showcase investment opportunities
Entrepreneurs from all 47 counties in Kenya will have a unique opportunity to showcase investment and business opportunities during the “Baringo Entrepreneurship and Expo Summit 2015” (BEES 2015) next month at Kabarnet Showgrounds.
According to the event organisers, the summit will also provide investors a platform for networking and developing joint ventures.
“We shall also discuss ways of creating a conducive business regulatory environment in the county,” the event organisers said in a communique.
The organisers further revealed that all the 47 counties will be required to identify two entrepreneurs who will showcase their projects during the summit. The entrepreneurs will then pitch their ideas to a panel of judges.
MENTORSHIP
The winning pitch will walk away with a grand prize of Sh 1.5m. The first runners will be pocket Sh 1m while the second runners up take home Sh 500,000.
Event organisers also have plan to attach the winners to some of the best training institutions in the country for further mentorship.
“We are in talks with Sinapis, Nairobi Garage and Strathmore Business School to see if we can place some of the winners in their programmes,” a member of the organising team said.
The summit, which will be held on on November 12 and 13, comes just four months after the Global Entrepreneurship Summit that was attended by US President Barrack Obama.
