Babu Owino in Raila, ‘Tibim’ drama on day one in Parliament -VIDEO
Embakasi East MP Babu Owino marked his entry into the National Assembly with controversy when he added “and Raila Amolo Odinga” to his oath.
The oath-takers swear allegiance “to the Republic of Kenya”. That is when he added the Nasa leader’s name.
He was then ordered to retake the oath.
After retaking it, he ended by saying “Tibim”.
Michael Sialai, the Clerk of the National Assembly, asked the MPs to take the oath as prescribed as they “will have all the time they want to say anything they want under the Standing Orders as MPs”.
